Managing a project in terms of accurately monitoring the timeline is the main challenge businesses are facing currently. The lack of insights or reports on activities that might be getting delayed further worsens the situation. Approximately, 70 percent of the work done related to project documents turns out to be redundant. For example, people managing multiple projects of similar nature end up typing duplicate clauses.
Hence, businesses involved in Project Management require software that can provide them with the following benefits:
Our Project Management ERP is an insightful and intelligent tool that enables businesses to address the requisites of Project Management from tendering till completion of execution. The solution offers information, visibility, consistency, control and the ability to govern projects. This robust ERP helps all the stakeholders involved in a project to govern the planning, execution and allocation of tasks as well resources equally at all the stages. The progress of the project can be mapped against the actual goals set with the help of our solution.
Project Management begins when the BD team of an organization sets out on a search for prospect through different sources. A decision in terms of pursuing the project is made after assessing the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) document. As demanded in the NIT, users submit documents, data and cost estimates for the project. The final proposal is subsequently submitted by the Proposal Manager. Ultimately, the best bidder is awarded the project.
Once the project is awarded, it proceeds on to the planning stage. In this phase, a plan in terms of the requisites for the project is laid out. Resources and materials required to carry out the project are allocated evenly for all stages.
Once the resources are allocated with respect to the activities, the project moves on to the phase of execution. All the plans laid out in the B2P module are detailed in this stage to be executed. There is a crucial need to monitor, control and obtain continuous feedback on the activities at all stages of the project.
*Note: Once the activities are divided from L1 to L6, they are included in the WBS of individuals. It is made sure that all the activities scheduled on a day are completed within the same 24 hours. The progress of the project is monitored through Gantt charts.
However, the WBS also has a rolling plan that acts as a buffer when certain activities from the WBS have to be shifted due to resource constraint. According to the lead time, one can roll the activities depending on the resource constraint.
A plan specifying all the items required for the project is laid out under this sub – module of B2P. Drawings of different components are shared with the clients and approvals are procured on the same.
In this stage, a procurement plan is laid out for the smooth execution of the project. It is ascertained in this stage that what all materials are required, when and how they should be procured.
The primary benefit of this ERP is reduced time as redundancy of work and delays in approvals are removed. Signatories can share approvals with just one – click. Paperwork is reduced as there is no need for attaching hard copies for approval. The ERP helps in tracking jobs and expenses in real – time. The processes are standardized and documents are centrally available. All the stakeholders involved have end – to – end visibility of the project.
